Club G’s Season Winding Down

Filed under: Wisconsin Sports — Tara @ 8:52 am

Club G’s pulled out a win against the evil Guerillas on Wednesday night, with a solid 10-3 win. It wasn’t Tripp this week that got himself in trouble with the other team, it was Tim… who asked the 1st baseman on their team if they ever stopped bitching. To that, she replied: “I don’t see you out here f’n playing…” The conversation went on, as I’m sure you can imagine. I haven’t heard if Tim has lost any windows in his car yet, so I’m assuming all is well.

With one game left, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3rd, at 6:00pm, I figured posting the SEASON stats would be a good idea so you too can track the race to the batting titles.

AB H 1B 2B 3B HR BB R RBI AVG OBP SLG
Niti 22 7 7 0 0 0 3 5 6 .318 .440 .318

Tara 26 11 7 3 1 0 5 13 10 .423 .516 .615
Mike 33 26 12 6 2 6 5 25 26 .788 .816 1.636
Jackie 27 8 8 0 0 0 6 8 1 .296 .424 .296
Dan 28 21 14 6 1 0 2 12 13 .750 .767 1.036
Tim 24 15 6 5 4 0 9 19 16 .625 .727 1.167
Mallory 27 9 6 3 0 0 7 4 9 .333 .471 .444
Jon 30 25 17 6 2 0 4 10 21 .833 .853 1.167
Bonnie 22 5 3 2 0 0 9 7 2 .227 .452 .318
TRIPP 35 21 5 8 4 4 2 19 23 .600 .622 1.400
Beth 13 4 4 0 0 0 3 2 2 .308 .438 .308

I bolded who is leading in each stat category going into our last game next week (which is WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3rd at 6:00pm if you’ve forgotten)… so we’ll see if they can hang on to those totals.

Some items to note:

  • Even though we give TRIPP grief about not taking walks, going into last Wednesday’s game, both him and Jon only had one walk. If it wasn’t for Jon taking 3 walks, Tripp would have had more walks than Jon. Maybe it’s Hammer we should be giving a hard time…
  • The only category that looks like it is wrapped up is Runs scored, as I think it’s next to impossible for anyone to catch Mike’s 25. That leaves a whole lot of things open. Will Jon hang onto his lead in average and on base percentage? Will Bonnie get on base again before the end of the year? Will Tripp hit the ball to left field? Will Niti bean a batter by throwing his fast ball? Only YOU can find out, by coming to watch our game on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3rd at 6:00pm.
