When is a Quarter Worth More Than a Quarter?
When it’s a Wisconsin Quarter.
Maybe this is old news, but it’s new to me. Turns out the US Mint messed up on some of the Wisconsin Quarters that it made in October and November.

In this picture, you’ll notice that there is an extra leaf on each of the corn stalks on the lower left hand side.

Now this is how the quarter should look. Notice, there isn’t that extra leaf.
Wisconsin is the 30th state quarter to be released, and there haven’t been any other flaws thusfar in the other quarters, so coin-collectors are going nuts. Coin collectors are saying that the flawed Wisconsin quarters are worth between $500 and $600. When I looked in ebay today, a lot of people are selling rolls of quarters at a higher rate, so that people have the POTENTIAL of finding a flawed quarter… but they do have some of the quarters on there where it just has the downed leaf, and they run around $750. NICE!
The coins were minted in Denver, and they have only been found in Tucson and San Antonio, so it looks like our odds of finding one are pretty slim, but you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be taking a closer look at my quarters from now on…

I’d imagine that you would call a local pawn shop or coin collector… or you could always throw it on ebay. Let us know what happens!!!
