Reggie White Dies at the Age of 43

Filed under: Wisconsin Sports, Around Milwaukee — Tara @ 12:03 pm

It’s a sad day in Packerland. Reggie White, one fo the greatest defensive players in recent history, passed away today at the age of 43.

The “Minister of Defense” holds a special place in the hearts of Packer fans. Along side of Brett Favre, he was the person who came to the Packers in the early 90’s and turned our team from someone mediocre to something great. No one ever thought he would come to little ol’ Green Bay. White not only signed with Green Bay, but he did his part to recruit others to come to Green Bay by telling them what a great city and team we have in the Green Bay Packers.

Initial reports say that he died of a massive heart attack at his home in North Carolina.

I hope Reggie is watching down on the Pack this post-season… our defensive line could use some divine intervention. We will miss you, Reggie!

  1. this sucks for him family and football fans everywhere. its never good when someone that young dies.

but at the same time, he did some questionable stuff (in my opinion). there was that whole thing before the state congress (i dont even think jesse jackson could come up with that stuff), and then there was thing with his church burning down and people sending money to his friend, the crook who got away with all the money people from WI sent. then he didnt do anything about it. i liked him as a player, but some of his things off the field are debatable.
