Carroll Homecoming 2004
Well, another homecoming has come and gone. It has now been 3 1/2 years since I graduated from the hallowed halls of Carroll College, and for some reason, homecoming still isn’t boring to me. The majority of the day is centered around tailgating. A bunch of people getting together outside of the stadium, eating, drinking, and wondering if we’ll ever actually make it into the football game one of these years.
This year was no different. We got down to the parking lot early, set up shop, and just waited. Waited to see the people that we still see every week. Waiting for the people that we see every homecoming. And waiting for the people that you don’t expect to see, but are happily surprised when you do see them.
Pete Swanson was giving me grief, asking “when are you going to feature ME on your website.” Well, Pete, there you are. During the downtime between tailgating and going out at night, we relaxed over at Amber and Mandy’s apartment. We had a few people there, so I had a hard time finding a spot to put my beer. Pete stepped up the the challenge though and offered his crotch as a perfect beer-holder. It didn’t exactly keep my beer chilled, but it did the trick.
